Necessity is the Mother of Invention as they say. That’s why people who have had the hardest lives are often the most resourceful. People who have had to survive on the mean streets of life either thrive or get pushed to the wayside, and everyone knows this.
But in times of abundance it’s hard to keep that survival instinct alive. That’s when you have to follow an ethos or ethics to keep you aligned with Mother Nature. Going to the gym is not a necessity for most people but yet it can keep that hunger alive and it prepares you for whatever may come. I’ve been trying to follow this discipline for a while now, and some days all I can do is maintain the status quo but on other days I really feel an added spark and energy that allows me advance forward and grow. I need this now as I try to lead my gallery and all its multi-facets into the next stages of growth. I believe that with the rise of AI and automation more and more people will be looking towards the arts as a place to build community and a common humanity, and I need to have my Mind, Body and Spirit ready for these changes. These changes in society may come slowly over time but I definitely believe that they are coming sooner or later and we ALL need to be prepared by keeping our bodies and minds in tune with nature.
